What to wear to a Graduation

May 11, 2018

It's graduation time!  Whether its you who's graduating or your attending a graduation, finding the perfect outfit can be difficult!  I'm going to show you just a few options I love.  You can click on a photo below and it will instantly take you to the website.

Student:  If you are the one who is graduating, and your cap and gown are a color other than black or white, I think its best to wear either a black, white or nude color dress.  Too much color will look too busy and distract from everything else.  If you have a black or white cap and gown, wear a color to make it pop!  The last tip I have, would to be very confident in heels/wedges if you choose to wear them on graduation day.  Nothing would be worse than tripping on the way to get your diploma.  If you get a new pair of shoes, I would try and break them in before you have to wear them for hours.  Here are a few options I think would be so perfect for a student to wear:

Attendee:  For friends and family who are attending a graduation, you want something classy and either semi formal or business casual, depending on the ceremony.  Some ceremonies are indoor, some are outdoor, but either way you don't want a dress with a super short hemline or that's too revealing.  Keep it classy so you don't take away from the graduate.  I chose a few dresses that are feminine and that you can easily throw a jean jacket over.  Floral prints are also a great print for graduations because they are usually always at the end of spring!  I also added a cute wrap top that would pair perfectly with some white jeans if you wanted to go more casual. Here are just a few options that I would wear:

I hope this gave you guys some good outfit inspiration for graduation season!  Congratulations to the Class of 2018!
