  • Mothers Day Gift Guide

I can't believe it's already May.. and with May comes Mothers day. Moms are truly the best and because I am so close to my mom, I love to recognize and celebrate the woman who is such a big inspiration to me. Whether you are a mom yourself, a sister, grandma, or daughter... Mothers day is a special and meaningful day to acknowledge everything mothers do. And let's face it, we do a lot!! If you are wanting to get something for a mom who is important to you, I made a little gift guide with some affordable gift ideas. I also put together some cute dresses that you can wear for Mothers Day if you have any plans with your family.

  • Spring Maternity Outfits

Hey mamas! Although I'm not pregnant right now and my baby is almost 9 months old, I wanted to share some spring maternity outfit inspiration if you are pregnant! I truly LOVED pregnancy and it was so much fun to dress and style my bump with form fitting dresses, cropped sweaters and maxi dresses. If you are nearing the end of your pregnancy and you're anything like me... I'm sure you're feeling swollen and super uncomfortable! At around 36 weeks I started to feel like my body was not my own anymore and it was such a weird feeling! So, if you're in the same position and feeling just simply uncomfortable, you're not alone! If you are wanting to really show off your bump, then I would make sure to have a few tight/form fitting dresses in your closet. Those will be staples that you could wear so many different ways. You can throw a denim jacket over top, a kimono for spring, or even a cropped sweater. If you don't have a cropped sweater, I would tend to tie a sweater in a front knot right above my bump to really make it stand out. Another staple every pregnant women should have is a good pair of maternity jeans and shorts. Forget trying to squeeze into your regular jeans! I loved this pair that I got from Pink Blush Maternity. I also wore my maternity jeans a few weeks postpartum because I still wasn't able to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans (which is normal!!! I know it can feel discouraging, but please give yourself some grace. You just grew and pushed out a human lol!). If you are not one of those people who wants to show off your bump, get some flowy maxi dresses! Let me tell you that I lived in maxi dresses towards the end of my pregnancy. It was honestly one of the most comfortable things because you don't have anything tight on your swollen body, and you just feel so free and airy. I hope these outfits give you some good inspiration for styling your bump. Soak in this special time in your life and feeling your baby move around because it goes by so fast and truly is the greatest blessing!
